Prototyping 1

Today we tried the project for the first time and I kind of happy with it!

We projected a flash program on a wall at a public place at school and documented people by adding a new symbol to the painting.

We had problem with the bypassers shadow comes in the way of the painting when they were passing it. But we had some reactions anyway. Bypasses became interested in what the painting were doing but it maybe didn’t come out clear enough why the painting was moving.

Also I think that many people didn’t see that the painting was moving at all.

We also tried to make the movement on the painting more personal by adding more colour and unpredictable movement who were more connected to the real movement of the bypassers.

Tomorrow we are going to make the prototyping all over again and work more with the public space around the painting to make the interaction stronger and the bypassers more attentive.
By adding information about what is going to happened would make the people more involved in the process and also by adding simple threshold as signs and/or black tape on the floor could help.

Sebastian rented a digital camera so we can start with the technical part about how we could measure the movement of the people passing our painting!

It was interesting to se how our project come out today!
Even though we have a short amount of time I feel like our project really could be something good! I think by trying out different way on involving people we will find something really god to work with.

OOoo, I m really happy about the project and I’m most happy about my group! Everybody is very easy to work with and I think that everybody has an important role in the process!
